As of 10/14/2004 We have no active boat watch at this time. Please bookmark this site, and also share it with all your friends.

Note: the marquee above will be updated to indicate when we have an active boat watch.

If you have lost track of loved ones at sea or you need to get an urgent message to them concerning a medical emergency or perhaps a death in the family, then we believe we can help.    Please review the information made available here so that you may learn what we do and how we may assist you.  As an added feature, we have provided a function for mariners on the move to file a Float Plan which provides helpful information for those trying to keep track of a vessel's status and location.

Message to our Visitors.  We could use your help.

Given the popularity and effectiveness of our Boatwatch web site, it has become apparent now is the time to make some significant changes to enhance user acceptance and usability.  For example, it makes sense to get rid of the cumbersome piggy-back URL address and move forward with our own URL.  We have requested and are awaiting confirmation of "www.boatwatchnet.org".  Once that has been confirmed, then it is our plan to move to a web site provider to handle that URL for us. Additional plans include possible attainment of Corporate status and eventual tax exempt status so that we might consider sponsor or viewer donations to help support our efforts.  In the meantime, if you feel this is a viable service which deserves a certain level of financial support, I assure you all donations will be appreciated in order to handle the anticipated start-up costs of the measures mentioned above.

While in this restructuring mode, we wish to ask your input for ideas and/or additional services we might provide.  Please e-mail your ideas to k5mp@hwn.org.

With immediate costs of the above-mentioned enhancements soon to require some financial commitment, all donations will be welcome and will receive a personal letter of appreciation.  We will also list all donors on a page set up especially for that occasion here on the web site.

If you wish to contribute, please remit your personal checks payable to:

Mike Pilgrim, 10374-178th Ct. So., Boca Raton, Fl  33498.  Please include in your mailing a valid return e-mail address if applicable.  (Until such time as we can put together an official business banking account, all checks must currently be made out to my personal account.)

Alternatively, for those who prefer, we have set up the following PayPal donation link.

With our sincere appreciation for your financial support we thank you.

Mike Pilgrim, Amateur Radio Station K5MP
